Individual counselling for people navigating a major life change and what it's bringing up.
In-person (Vancouver, BC) and virtual across BC.

Change this significant doesn't always hit you the way you expect it to. You thought you'd handle it better or differently and now you're not so sure.
And the longer it goes on the harder it gets to know what you actually need to do next.
If any of this resonates, you're in the right place.
You didn't expect it to hit you the way it has
You keep going over it in your head trying to make sense of it.
Some days feel okay and then it catches you off guard again
You're not sure who to talk to about this or how to even start.
You thought you'd feel differently by now.
Part of you knows you need to keep moving. You're just not sure in which direction.
Every situation is different. This is generally how we move through it.
01 — Get stable first Before anything else the focus is on helping you find your footing. Not solving the change, just getting you to a place where you can think clearly and function without the ground feeling like it's moving underneath you.
Once things are more stable we look at what this change is actually bringing up, what it means for you, what it's asking of you, and what's been making it harder than you expected.
Significant change almost always requires some adjustment to how you see yourself. This part of the work looks at that, not to reinvent you but to help you find a version of yourself that fits where you actually are now.

Most of what makes a significant life change hard to navigate isn't the change itself, it's the uncertainty it creates about what comes next and who you are inside it. Here are some of the ways we work with that.
Change brings questions you can't always answer yet. This work looks at how you're relating to that uncertainty, what it's producing in your thinking and whether there's more room to move within it than it currently feels like.
Some changes are significant enough that they need to be processed properly — not minimised or reframed. This work creates space to understand what happened, what it means, and how to carry it forward without it defining everything that comes next.
Change produces a lot of thinking, about what's next, what to do, what to avoid. This work looks at how to work with that thinking practically so it becomes something useful rather than something that keeps you stuck.
Most reactions to significant change are. But normal doesn't always mean easy to get through and it doesn't mean you have to get through it alone.
The work doesn't require you to have things figured out. It's a space to process what's happening, not to arrive at conclusions before you're ready.
That's fine. Most people don't. The first session is about getting a clear picture of where you are and what would be most useful to focus on.
Having people around you helps. This is different — it's a structured space specifically focused on helping you work through the change in a way that everyday conversations usually can't.
That's possible. Some of what comes up in this work takes time to settle. It's worth talking through in the intro session so you know what to expect.
Most extended health plans in BC cover sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Check your specific plan for the details.
The free intro session is the most straightforward way to find out.
