Individual counselling for people who are starting to run on empty.
In-person (Vancouver, BC) and virtual across BC.

You used to bounce back. A hard week was just a hard week, you'd recover, reset, and get back to it. That's not happening the same way anymore. The weeks are running together and the reset isn't coming.
You're not falling apart. You're still doing what you've always done. But it costs more now. And the part of you that used to find energy in all of it has gone quiet.
If any of this resonates, you're in the right place.
Everyone thinks you're fine. You're not sure that's still true.
You used to look forward to your work. You don't anymore.
You're putting in the same hours. The results don't show it anymore.
You keep thinking you just need to get through this next thing. There's always a next thing.
You wake up already counting down to when you can stop.
You can't remember the last time you felt genuinely switched on.
Every situation is different. This is generally how we move through it.
Burnout rarely comes from one thing. We look at what's been quietly taking more than it's giving, in your work, your habits, and the expectations you've been carrying longer than you probably realize.
The drive that got you here is part of the picture. This work looks at what's been running underneath it, the standards you hold yourself to, the pressure you absorb, and what it's cost you to keep pace with all of it.
Not everything, but something specific. This part of the work focuses on where the real pressure is coming from and what a different approach looks like for you in your actual life.

Most of what drives burnout isn't the workload. It's the relationship you have with yourself inside the work, what you believe you owe, what you're allowed to need, and how long you've been ignoring the signals your body and mind have been sending. Here are some of the ways we look at that.
For a lot of high performers, slowing down doesn't feel like rest, it feels like failure. This work looks at what stopping means to you, and whether those beliefs are still serving you or quietly running you into the ground.
Some of the pressure you're carrying was never yours to begin with. This work looks at where your standards came from, which ones still make sense, and which ones have been driving you long past the point of reason.
You've built your identity around what you produce. This work looks at that relationship — not to dismantle it, but to understand what it's costing you and where there might be more room than you currently allow yourself.
Because handling it alone is part of what got you here. This isn't about handing the wheel to someone else, it's about having a space to look at what's happening without having to manage that process by yourself too.
You don't have to be. The first conversation starts wherever you're comfortable. Nothing is forced and nothing is assumed.
The work isn't about pulling things apart without a plan. The focus stays on what's useful and what moves things forward, not on making what's already difficult harder to carry.
A break helps with exhaustion. It doesn't always address what's driving it. If the same patterns are there when you return, the break only goes so far.
Most extended health plans in BC cover sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Check your specific plan for the details.
The free intro session is the most straightforward way to find out.
That's not something that gets decided for you. The work is about understanding what's happening, what you do with that is always your call.
It's a chance to talk through what's been coming up for you and get a sense of how I work. No commitment required.
